But my favorite part of this Psalm---a line which unfortunately wasn't captured on this quick 'Photo Booth' video during Ryan's lunch break today --is when Maya walks around the house saying...
'He restores my pole.'
It's my favorite line of that Psalm. The words are so hopeful, so beautiful and rich.
And Maya's translation of it just makes me smile.

I could not live unless Jesus restored my soul daily--Angela quoted this whole 23rd Psalm to the congregation we were leaving in West Virginia when she was 34 months old. I am sure most children could do this if they just had it read to them often enough. She was able to say it before I even realized she was memorizing it from a little child's size book she begged to have read to her.. It sticks for a long time!!
