I love to collect little swatches of fabric...certain that someday I'll make something wonderful with them.
I found these ones today online. It's not quite the same as the real thing. But...
...sometimes it just takes color and texture and print to make my heart race a little...

I know exactly how you feel. I do the same thing, yet I have never fely the need to learn how to sew. ;) I just love to look, feel, and coordinate what could be something wonderful!
mmmm...
what deliciousness.
I see a string of tiny hanging lanterns bobbing in a summer breeze near an outdoor dinner party..
each lampshade different from the rest.
The light is golden/orange.
....
lots of other ideas too..but this comment is already long enough.
:)
You can scrap with them or make an apron or sew patches on jeans or... =).
Just put them in a frame and look at them. I love seeing what inspires you. It gives me lots of ideas. Thanks for sharing!
the bottom swatch on the left side is the fabric for my couch :) great taste ang! oh i long for a house to decorate and make beautiful!
The second one down on the left is my favorite, so beautiful! I wish I knew how to sew and such. I mean I guess I know how to with like a needle but still...I would never try to make a blanket or quilt, haha.
By the way, those pictures of Maya with the pumpkins are so incredibly cute. I cannot wait to have kids!
I love all of your ideas. I should have known that the artists would show up with great inspirations for me. (I know there are more...keep coming)
But now i really wish I actually had these swatches... :)
Looking at them is still fun though, even if these ones only exist(for me)in cyber world. I do have a few of my own...real pieces of fabric somewhere...in a box, waiting to find a place in our new house. It will be a while before I find them...and probably a longer while before they will be used to create any wonderful hanging lanterns for a garden party or clothing accents or cards or scrapbooks...
someday.
That fabric is beautiful! If i had it, i would sew a quilt for my pancreas to keep it warm in the chilly winter months.
